RV Homecoming & School Fair
Come join us on the River Valley school campus for a week full of exciting Homecoming
events taking place September 22-27… with the theme this year as “Rio de Janeiro”! From
spirited dress-up days to exciting sporting events and community celebrations, there’s something
for everyone. Let’s come together to show our Blackhawk pride and make this Homecoming
one to remember!

• Thursday, 9/25:
• Boys Soccer (Varsity & JV) vs. Platteville @ 5:00 pm
• Girls Volleyball (JV, JV2, Varsity) vs. Platteville @ 4:45 pm
• Homecoming Pep Rally @ 8:00 pm (at Junior High/High School)
• Friday, 9/26:
• School Fair @ 8:00 am
• Livestock Auction @ 12:00 noon (Registration starts at 10:00 am)
• Homecoming Parade @ 3:00 pm (downtown Spring Green)
• Varsity Football vs. Richland Center @ 7:00 pm
• Saturday, 9/27: Homecoming Dance @ 7:00 pm
All of these events are fun for the whole community. Please join us! While you are here for the
62nd School Fair on Friday, September 26, please tour our new River Valley Intermediate
School main office, our new River Valley High School wood shop, and our remodeled 4K
classrooms at River Valley Elementary. Our schools and staff are here to serve the communities
of River Valley - it is a great week to celebrate!

2025 River Valley School Fair
will be held on
Friday, September 26, 2025!
THEME: Rio de Janeiro
(NOTE: There is no school for students on School Fair Day - Friday, September 26, 2025)
School Fair Booklet and Exhibitor form may be found at the bottom of this page.
School Fair entry forms are due Wednesday, September 17, 2025, by 3:30 PM to your child’s respective school or Shari Graffunder at the River Valley High School.
Art Work (Department MM only) and Photography (Department PP) are due Monday, September 22, 2025, by 3:30 PM to your child’s respective schools or Shari Graffunder at River Valley High School.
Departments K-TT are due Thursday, September 25, 2025. Exhibits may be dropped off from 8 AM to 5 PM in the Intermediate School Gymnasium. Please be sure names, departments, class, and the teacher’s name are on the items. Judging starts promptly at 5:15 PM, so please plan accordingly, as the gym closes prior to the judging of items.
Animal exhibits (Departments A-J) are to be checked in by 8:30 AM on Friday, September 26, 2025, as some shows start at 8:00 AM. Please check in at SHED 1 for entry tags if you are exhibiting small animals (rabbits, poultry, exotic animals, cats, etc.)
Community members or businesses who would like to display their tractors, implements, or equipment may contact Shari Graffunder via email at sgraffunder@rvschools.org or by phone at 588-2554 ext. 2152 to reserve your spot. We would like to have businesses or individuals contact us by September 12, 2025.

Please come out to join us on Friday, September 26, 2025, as exhibits open at 8:00 AM with the gymnasium exhibits (in the River Valley Intermediate School gymnasium), along with various livestock and small animal exhibits showing on campus around the intermediate school. The livestock auction will begin at NOON near the School Fair Pavilion. Interested bidders may register in SHED 1 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM.
For the youth and community members: There will be an interactive agricultural experience for the children and chaperones to participate in, with various activities happening throughout the day. More information will be provided on the RV School website.

2025 River Valley Homecoming Parade will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025! THEME: Rio de Janeiro (NOTE: There is no school for students on School Fair Day - Friday, September 26, 2025) The Homecoming King and Queen will be announced at the Pep Rally on Thursday, September 25, following the conclusion of the varsity volleyball game, which is River Valley vs. Platteville and the boys soccer game which is River Valley vs. Platteville. The Homecoming Parade will begin at 3:00 pm on Friday, September 26. Beginning on September 1, local businesses and organizations that would like to participate in the parade are asked to contact Brent Johnson at (608) 588-2554 ext. 2128. For the safety of our children, the district asks that each float planning to distribute candy or other items have “candy walkers” rather than throwing the items from the vehicle. In the traditional Homecoming Football Game, the Blackhawks will play the Richland Center Hornets at 7:00 pm on Friday, September 26. Homecoming Dance will be held on Saturday, September 27.
